‘Standing Outside The Dance Club’

This is literally a description of what I was doing at the time: standing outside a small dance club, feeling the rain on my face, listening to the music and the people, laughing inside. This one was written with about zero seriousness; just an inane little rhyme, written on a scrap of paper, out in the rain.

‘Standing Outside The Dance Club’

Standing outside the dance club,
The soft evening rain on my coat,
I listen to the band as they play.

Next door is a small English pub,
Where they sing along note for note,
A great way to end a long day.
